Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Hella Studio uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our services.
1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how Hella Research Inc ("Hella Research," "we," "us," or "our"), the company behind Hella Studio, uses cookies and similar technologies when you use our services. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We currently use only strictly necessary and functional cookies, none of which require your consent under applicable law. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, and provide reporting information. Similar technologies—such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage—serve comparable purposes, and references to "cookies" here include these technologies.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the service to function. These keep you signed in (authentication and session cookies set by our infrastructure provider, Supabase) and grant access to password-protected share links and reports. Because they are essential, they cannot be disabled while you use the service.
- Functional cookies and local storage: Remember your preferences and settings—for example, whether the navigation sidebar is collapsed (a
sidebar_statecookie), your light or dark theme, and view options such as thumbnail sizes and table column layouts. Most of these preferences are stored in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies.
We do not use performance, analytics, or advertising cookies.
4. Third-Party Cookies
We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Our service embeds a video player (Mux) for media playback and uses error-monitoring software (Sentry) to keep the service reliable; as configured, neither sets cookies on your device. Should we introduce any third-party cookies in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent first.
5. How Long Cookies Last
Session cookies are temporary and expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Authentication cookies last for the duration of your signed-in session and are refreshed as you use the service; share-link and report access cookies expire after 24 hours; and the sidebar preference cookie lasts up to 12 months.
6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Because we use only strictly necessary and functional cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner or preferences center. You can still control cookies and local storage through your browser settings—most browsers let you block or delete them. Doing so will sign you out and reset your saved preferences, and may affect the functionality of the service.
7. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Our service does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our practices. Updates will be indicated by a new "Last updated" date.
